Robotic Empty Pallet Control

The robotic empty pallet control system, the Woodpecker, ensures that only pallets compliant with customer requirements are used in the production process, increasing both efficiency and process safety and preventing possible damage to the final product.

This robotic empty pallet control solution carries out a complete check of the pallet conditions, utilizing both a mechanical system to measure load resistance and a vision system, to inspect for shape defects difficult to detect for the human eye. It can manage several types of pallet sizes and colors, with the possibility of setting up a customized “control recipe” through a user-friendly operator interface. The non-compliant pallets are removed from the end of line, eliminating risk to the operator and preventing product from falling during the handling operations inside and outside the factory.

Palletizing Systems

All our palletizing islands communicate seamlessly with robotic wrapping and labeling solutions and with laser-guided automatic vehicles. Thanks to the SM.I.LE80 software platform, they ensure a fully automated and integrated end-of-line management. They are directly connected to production lines and operate at high speed with maximum reliability.

The palletizers automatically stack finished products, in cardboard boxes or trays, onto pallets, handling different types of products quickly, flexibly, and with extreme delicacy.

Robotic Stretch Wrapping systems

Flexibility, redundancy, high speed, reduced use of film, operational autonomy for a compact layout: these are the fundamental characteristics of Silkworm, the system that has revolutionized the concept of stretch film wrapping by combining robotics with the use of a 1000-mm high film reel and the product in rotation which ensure the system fast speed.

The automatic wrapping head changeover allows to increase in total safety the plant efficiency compared to the standards: a patented technology that, thanks to the two heads, guarantees operational continuity and 8-hour autonomy with a single system.

The use of the 1000-mm high and 60-kg film reel considerably reduces the replacement frequency, enabling to lower, compared to traditional systems that employ 500-mm reel, the number of wrapping turns.

Robotic Labeler

Raptor, the robotic labeling system, boost supply chain intralogistics operations by automatically printing and applying labels on pallets at the end of the production chain or in distribution processes.

It is fitted with an anthropomorphic robot, which guarantees flexibility and operational high speed in reduced spaces, and a camera, that checks the label correct application and the barcode readability. The system redundancy, thanks to the option with two printers, allows to double the operational autonomy and to carry out the label reel automatic changeover without any production downtime, thus increasing the overall end-of-line efficiency.
