E80 Group December 1, 2025
On November 6, 2025 more than twenty master’s students in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMoRe) visited our facility in Viano as part of the “University Meets Industry” project, an initiative designed to foster dialogue between academia and the business world.
Throughout the day, students explored the production process of Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs) and attended a workshop on industrial process digitalization and continuous innovation, led by our directors Igor Rossi and Marco Soranzo. The visit concluded at our Digital Studios, created in partnership with Neway, where participants experienced the potential of 3D virtual reality applied to communication, corporate training, and business transformation.
“Meeting young people and engaging with them is always a valuable opportunity to listen to new ideas and share experiences. Collaboration with academia is a tangible value for us, fueling innovation and strengthening ties with the community,” said Gabriele Grassi, Deputy Chairman of our Group.
Among the most significant collaborations with UniMoRe are the E80 DAE scholarships, dedicated to students of the master’s degree in Digital Automation Engineering, aimed at supporting talented individuals in their academic and professional growth.
